This is an excellent opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a progressive hospital environment with strong clinical support and access to advanced diagnostic equipment.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week. The rota includes 1 in 6 full weekends, one Bank Holiday shift every 18 months, and 1–2 weeks of on-call duties per year.
Role Description
In this role, you will carry out a varied range of nursing duties within a busy 24-hour hospital environment. Responsibilities include nurse-led appointments, Schedule 3 activities, assisting with consultations and surgeries, inpatient monitoring, and managing admissions and discharges in line with regulatory and operational standards.
You will also assist with clinical coaching within the practice, supporting the development of colleagues and contributing to a positive learning culture. The hospital handles a diverse caseload, offering exposure to complex medical and surgical cases.
You will work alongside an experienced nursing team, many of whom hold or are working towards certificates in anaesthesia and analgesia or medical and surgical nursing.
Team Size
You will be supported by a large and experienced nursing team within a 24-hour hospital setting, working collaboratively with Veterinary Surgeons and support staff committed to delivering high clinical standards.
Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with advanced diagnostic and surgical equipment including a CT scanner, endoscope, laparoscopic kit, K-laser, multiparameter monitoring equipment, and a wide range of laboratory equipment including an Imagyst system.
As a 24-hour facility, the hospital manages emergency, inpatient, and complex referral-level cases within a well-equipped and modern clinical environment.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse with a passion for delivering exceptional patient and client care. You will demonstrate strong clinical skills, confidence in a hospital setting, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
An interest in clinical coaching and professional development, alongside a proactive and collaborative approach, will be highly valued.
