Job Description
Introduction
Our Client’s hospital in Shrewsbury is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join its supportive and inclusive team within a busy 24-hour hospital environment. This is an exciting opportunity for an RVN looking to further utilise and develop their nursing skills while working across a varied and rewarding caseload.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week across a 4-day working week. The rota includes 1 in 5 weekends with time off in lieu provided.
Role Description
The successful candidate will work across a varied caseload including medical, soft tissue and orthopaedic cases within a busy hospital setting. Duties will involve inpatient care, theatre support, surgical nursing, patient monitoring and delivering exceptional patient and client care. The role offers the opportunity to work alongside an advanced clinical team including surgical certificate holders, providing excellent exposure to complex procedures and ongoing professional development.
Team Size
The hospital operates with a dedicated clinical team managing both inpatient and incoming cases, working collaboratively within a supportive and non-hierarchical environment.
Practice Details
The 24-hour hospital features five consulting rooms, two theatre suites including one dedicated to advanced surgeries, a dental suite, and separate dog and cat wards to support feline-friendly care. The practice manages a broad caseload including soft tissue and orthopaedic procedures and offers excellent clinical support from an experienced advanced team.
