As part of a wider network, the practice is supported by a 24/7 hospital, ensuring continuity of care and access to advanced services while maintaining a strong community focus.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week over 4 days. The rota includes 1 in 4.5 Saturdays (2 in 9) from 8:30am to 6:30pm with time off in lieu. There are no out-of-hours requirements due to support from a 24-hour hospital.
Role Description
This is a varied and hands-on Registered Veterinary Nurse position offering exposure to a diverse caseload where no two days are the same. You will utilise your full range of nursing skills, supporting both medical and surgical cases while ensuring high standards of patient care and welfare.
Working within a modern facility, you will assist in theatre, support diagnostic procedures, provide inpatient care, and contribute to a smooth clinical workflow. The role offers excellent opportunities for professional development, including certificate-level CPD, within a collaborative and progressive environment.
This position is ideal for a nurse who enjoys a busy caseload and is passionate about making veterinary care accessible to a wider community.
Team Size
You will be part of a supportive and collaborative team within a wider network, fostering a positive working environment with shared clinical knowledge and support.
Practice Details
The practice is a purpose-built facility featuring two fully equipped operating theatres, a dedicated dental suite with dental X-ray, and a diagnostic imaging room. It includes six consultation rooms, separate dog and cat wards, and a spacious waiting area with a designated quiet space for cats to ensure a low-stress environment.
The clinic is supported by a nearby 24/7 hospital, providing access to emergency and advanced care services, enhancing clinical exposure and case continuity.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse with a passion for delivering high-quality patient care. You will be confident across all aspects of nursing, enjoy working within a team, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
A proactive attitude, strong communication skills, and a commitment to accessible and compassionate veterinary care are essential.
