Job Description
Introduction
Our Client’s practice is a friendly, independently owned GP clinic, offering a unique “one pet, one vet/nurse” approach that prioritises continuity of care and strong client relationships. The clinic fosters a supportive and autonomous environment where veterinary professionals are encouraged to grow, follow their interests, and deliver the highest standard of care without corporate pressures.
Working Hours / Rota
This role is based on a 4-day working week, with shifts of approximately 9.25 hours per day. The rota includes either a Tuesday or Wednesday off (to be confirmed), along with 1 in 3 Saturday mornings. There are no out-of-hours requirements, as this is covered by a nearby clinic. Part-time applications are also welcomed, offering flexibility for the right candidate.
Role Description
The successful RVN will play a key role within the consulting room, delivering nurse-led clinics such as weight management alongside general nursing consultations. You will be involved in patient care, client communication, and supporting the smooth running of the practice. There is also an opportunity to become a clinical coach and support student nurses, with training provided if required. This role offers excellent scope for professional development within a nurturing and collaborative environment.
Team Size
You will be joining a small, close-knit and friendly team of dedicated veterinary professionals, creating a supportive and personable working environment where everyone contributes to high standards of care.
Practice Details
This is a small, village-style GP clinic with a modern setup, featuring one consulting room, three hospital kennels, and a single operating theatre. Despite its size, the practice is well-equipped with up-to-date diagnostic and surgical technology, enabling high-quality first opinion care. The clinic operates with a strong emphasis on patient continuity and personalised service.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a qualified RVN with strong consulting skills and a passion for patient and client care. An interest in running nurse-led clinics is essential, and experience or willingness to become a clinical coach is highly desirable. You will be a team player who values continuity of care, thrives in a supportive environment, and is motivated to develop both personally and professionally.
Equipment
The practice is equipped with a wide range of modern facilities including a dental scale, polish and drill, digital dental radiography, digital radiography, an in-house lab, microscope, operating light, oxygen generator, ultrasound, and access to Vetscan Imagyst.
