Job Description
Introduction
Our Client is seeking a proactive and compassionate Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their well-established mixed practice in Paisley on a fixed-term maternity cover contract.
This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive and friendly team delivering high-quality first opinion care to a loyal client base.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a part-time position working 32 hours per week, based at the Paisley branch.
The rota includes 1 in 4 weekends. There are no on-call duties.
Role Description
You will work on a rota system covering a broad range of nursing responsibilities including post-operative care for both medical and surgical patients, assisting Veterinary Surgeons in theatre and prep areas, caring for isolation patients and undertaking laboratory work.
The role also includes pharmacy ordering and stock control responsibilities.
Professional development is actively encouraged, and the practice welcomes candidates interested in pursuing further qualifications.
Practice Details
The practice operates across Paisley and Greenock and is RCVS accredited. Facilities include Karl Storz laparoscopy equipment for laparoscopic procedures, a fully equipped laboratory with haematology, biochemistry, electrolyte and therapeutic monitoring capabilities, ultrasound scanner, digital radiography including dental X-ray, endoscope and modern dental equipment.
Team Size
You will join a supportive team of Veterinary Surgeons, Registered Veterinary Nurses, Animal Care Assistants and Receptionists who work collaboratively to deliver excellent patient and client care.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse with strong clinical skills and a compassionate, team-focused approach.
You will be organised, proactive and confident assisting in theatre and managing inpatient care. A genuine passion for delivering high standards of patient and client care is essential.
