Job Description
Introduction
Our Client is an independently owned practice seeking Registered Veterinary Nurses to join their growing team. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking environment focused on redesigning the veterinary experience, creating a supportive space where teams, clients and patients genuinely feel valued.
Rota Details
The role is full time, with a structured rota that includes participation in the nurse consult service and surgical support. Flexibility is encouraged, and the successful candidate may occasionally be asked to cover shifts at other sites.
Information About the Practice
The clinic operates with a highly skilled team of Vets, RVNs and support staff who share a strong commitment to patient care, client communication and teamwork. Description of the Role
The RVN will be responsible for a wide range of clinical duties including nurse consultations, screening procedures, sample procurement, anaesthetic monitoring, surgical support, and administering treatments. They will maintain accurate clinical notes, uphold high standards of infection control, and ensure all clinical areas remain clean and well organised. Additional responsibilities include supporting clients with clear and compassionate guidance, monitoring stock levels, and providing assistance during both invasive and non-invasive procedures. The role also involves working proactively with the wider team to enhance workflow and patient care.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a qualified RVN with demonstrable experience in nursing duties, consulting, anaesthetic monitoring and surgical protocols. They will be confident using PMS systems, bring strong communication skills, and work well both independently and as part of a team. A proactive, compassionate approach and the ability to work calmly with unsettled animals are essential.
