Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time role working a 4-day week. The rota includes 1 in 6 weekends at a nearby 24-hour hospital. There are no direct out-of-hours requirements.
Role Description
This is a varied Registered Veterinary Nurse role where you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care and supporting the clinical team. You will carry out nurse-led appointments, assist in surgical procedures, and utilise Schedule 3 skills as part of your daily responsibilities.
You will also be involved in patient monitoring, managing admissions and discharges, dispensing medications, and ensuring compliance with all clinical and operational standards. The role offers the opportunity to run your own nurse clinics and contribute to the overall efficiency and success of the practice, while continuing to develop your clinical skills.
Team Size
You will be working alongside a supportive and experienced team led by a respected Lead Vet, alongside veterinary surgeons, nurses, and reception staff, all working collaboratively.
Practice Details
The practice is well-equipped and offers a wide range of services, including advanced diagnostic techniques and both routine and complex surgical procedures. Facilities include digital radiography, ultrasonography, and access to CT and MRI scanning. Additional services such as dentistry, acupuncture, and behavioural referrals are also provided. The clinic features a spacious layout with dedicated consultation rooms, theatre, and prep areas, and benefits from a convenient location with excellent transport links and parking.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse with strong clinical experience and excellent communication skills. You will be enthusiastic, a strong team player, and motivated to deliver high standards of patient and client care.
