Job Description
Introduction
Our Client’s practice is a well-established first-opinion clinic located in the vibrant and highly sought-after area of Tooting, South London. Known for its strong community presence and excellent standards of care, this popular practice is seeking a part-time RVN to support its growing and friendly team.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a part-time role based around a three-day working week, with flexibility available to suit individual preferences. The rota includes a 1 in 3 Saturday morning branch rotation, a 1 in 10 Saturday rotation at a nearby hospital, and one bank holiday per year. There are no on-call requirements.
Role Description
The role involves supporting day-to-day nursing activities within the practice, assisting veterinary surgeons during consultations and procedures, and maintaining high standards of inpatient care. You will work closely with the senior RVN and play an active role in mentoring trainee nurses, contributing to a supportive learning environment. This is a varied and rewarding position within a well-resourced practice.
Team Size
You will be supported by a senior Veterinary Surgeon, a senior RVN, an additional part-time vet, trainee nurses, and a dedicated regional management team including a regional manager and regional head vet.
Practice Details
The practice is fully equipped with modern facilities, including ultrasound, and is well known locally for its high standards of patient and client care. Situated on the Northern Line, the location offers excellent transport links while benefiting from a close-knit team culture that promotes a positive and collaborative working environment.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a Registered Veterinary Nurse or an SVN due to qualify who is enthusiastic, team-oriented, and keen to support both patients and colleagues. This role would suit someone early in their nursing career seeking strong mentorship, or an experienced RVN looking to reduce hours while remaining clinically active. Strong communication skills and a passion for high-quality care are essential.
