Job Description

Introduction
Our Client’s practice in Acton is seeking a compassionate and motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join its friendly and close-knit team on a part-time zero hour contract basis. Located in the heart of West London, the practice has built a strong reputation within the local community through long-standing client relationships and exceptional patient care.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a part-time permanent role offering approximately 20 hours per week with flexibility built in to suit the right candidate. The position also includes participation in a shared weekend rota.

Role Description
The successful candidate will deliver nurse-led appointments and support the veterinary team with procedures and operations while ensuring exceptional standards of patient and client care. Responsibilities include patient monitoring, admissions and discharges, maintaining accurate patient records, medication dispensing and checks, preparing patients for procedures, stock management, laboratory sample handling, and coordinating patient transfers to out of hours care where required. The role also involves helping coordinate daily clinic operations, supporting nurse consults, and contributing to the smooth and efficient running of the practice.

The clinic operates with a small, close-knit and collaborative team where all colleagues work together to provide exceptional care and support one another.

Practice Details
The practice is located in West London and benefits from close links to a nearby 24-hour hospital, providing seamless access to advanced diagnostics including CT imaging and overnight care support. The clinic has a varied caseload and prides itself on maintaining a supportive and collaborative culture with a strong focus on client relationships and high-quality veterinary care.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse with at least 2 years’ UK experience. They will be confident working within a team environment, passionate about delivering exceptional patient and client care, and capable of supporting nurse consults and day-to-day clinical operations. Strong communication, organisational and teamwork skills are essential.
