Job Description

Introduction
Our Client’s practice in West London is seeking an experienced Senior Registered Veterinary Nurse to help lead its established and supportive team. Located between Battersea and Clapham in one of London’s most desirable areas, this is an exciting opportunity for an RVN looking to step into a senior leadership role within a busy and well-equipped practice.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday. The rota includes 1 in 4 branch Saturdays and 1 in 10 Saturdays at a nearby 24-hour hospital, along with 1 bank holiday per year. There are no on-call requirements.

Role Description
The successful candidate will support the leadership and daily running of the nursing team while ensuring consistently high standards of patient care and client service. Duties include assisting veterinary surgeons during theatre and consultations, utilising Schedule 3 skills, overseeing equipment maintenance and controlled drug audits, supporting reception operations, and supervising student nurses as a clinical supervisor. The role also includes helping develop colleagues and contributing to the continued growth and efficiency of the practice.

Team Size
The team consists of 3 vets, 2 RVNs, trainee nurses and reception colleagues, all working collaboratively within a supportive environment.

Practice Details
The practice is well-equipped to perform a wide range of GP diagnostic and surgical procedures onsite, including imaging and blood diagnostic facilities. Out of hours support is provided by a nearby 24-hour hospital, with additional support from a dedicated regional manager. The clinic is situated close to Clapham Common and benefits from excellent transport links across London.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an experienced RVN looking to progress into or further develop within a senior nursing role. They will possess strong leadership, organisational and communication skills, be confident supporting surgeries and diagnostics, and enjoy mentoring colleagues and student nurses within a collaborative team environment.
