Job Description

Introduction
Our Client is an independently owned practice based in West London, offering a modern and progressive approach to first opinion veterinary care. The practice operates a membership-based model with no consultation fees, allowing the clinical team to maintain a strong focus on patient care and client relationships. They are currently looking for an all-round Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the team, although a suitable Student Veterinary Nurse may also be considered.

Working Hours / Rota
The role is based around a four-day working week, with 10-hour shifts and one full weekday off each week. Saturday duties are shared on a 1 in 4 rota from 9am to 3pm, with a day off in lieu provided.

Role Description
The successful nurse will work across the full range of first opinion nursing responsibilities, with no tiered nursing structure within the practice. The role provides plenty of clinical variety, including anaesthesia, surgical nursing, dentistry, medical nursing, consultations and nurse-led clinics.
Nurses are encouraged to make full use of their clinical skills, including appropriate Schedule 3 responsibilities, while developing meaningful relationships with clients and patients. There is also strong support for CPD, additional qualifications and continued clinical progression.

Team Size
The practice currently has a clinical team of five Veterinary Surgeons and four Registered Veterinary Nurses. It is also a training practice, creating a supportive environment for developing nurses and meaning applications from suitable Student Veterinary Nurses can also be considered.

Practice Details
The practice is a bright, modern and purpose-built small animal clinic in Fulham, offering a broad first opinion caseload alongside access to more advanced clinical work. Visiting ophthalmology and orthopaedic surgeons regularly support the practice, providing exposure to specialist procedures and additional learning opportunities for the nursing team.

The practice places a strong emphasis on teamwork, clinical standards and allowing nurses to work across a broad range of responsibilities rather than restricting them to specific areas.

Ideal Candidate
The practice is ideally looking for a confident, well-rounded Registered Veterinary Nurse who enjoys variety and is comfortable working across anaesthesia, dentistry, inpatient care, consultations and nurse clinics. A suitable Student Veterinary Nurse may also be considered where their experience and development align with the needs of the team.

The successful candidate should be clinically motivated, approachable and confident communicating with both clients and colleagues. Someone who is keen to continue learning, take responsibility and contribute positively to a close-knit team would be particularly well suited.
