Job Description

Introduction
Our Client is a corporately owned practice seeking a second full-time Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their fast-growing first-opinion practice in South London. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a busy and evolving two-vet clinic that has continued to go from strength to strength within a thriving local community.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time role based on a four-day working week. The rota includes participation in a 1:4 branch Saturday rotation and a 1:10 Sunday rotation in Wimbledon, along with responsibility for one bank holiday per year worked at the hospital. There are no on-call duties associated with this position. As part of your induction, you will spend a dedicated day working with the hospital team to ensure you feel confident and well prepared for Sunday shifts.

Role Description
This role involves supporting a busy GP caseload within a growing first-opinion practice. You will work across a two-floor clinic, making strong communication and multitasking skills essential as you support consultations, procedures, and day-to-day nursing duties. The practice benefits from a senior vet with a strong surgical interest, offering good exposure to hands-on clinical work. This position is ideal for an RVN who enjoys a fast-paced environment, variety in their day, and being part of a close-knit, supportive team.

Team Size
You will work alongside a senior vet, an associate vet, a senior RVN, trainee nurses, and a highly supportive regional manager, creating a collaborative and encouraging working environment.

Practice Details
The practice is a popular and well-established first-opinion practice located in one of South London’s most characterful neighbourhoods. The clinic operates as part of a wider network supported by a 24-hour Hospital in Wimbledon, which provides comprehensive out-of-hours care and access to advanced diagnostics and treatment when required. The practice is conveniently located just an eight-minute walk from Kennington Underground station on the Northern Line and within easy reach of local landmarks such as The Oval cricket ground.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a confident and proactive Registered Veterinary Nurse who thrives in a busy practice environment. You will be organised, adaptable, and comfortable multitasking across a split-level clinic. Strong communication skills, a team-focused attitude, and a genuine commitment to high-quality patient and client care are essential for success in this role.
