Job Description
Introduction
Our Client is an independent practice seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their growing team. This modern, high-quality small animal clinic is committed to delivering exceptional patient care while fostering a warm and supportive working environment for its staff.
Rota Details
This is a full-time position offering 40 hours per week across Monday to Friday, with 1 in 3 Saturday mornings (9am–12pm) and time off in lieu the following week. There are no OOH, Sunday, or Bank Holiday shifts, and generous break times are provided.
Information About the Practice
The practice is an RCVS-accredited, ISFM Silver Standard clinic with a focus on team wellbeing and client care. The team is close-knit and welcoming, with access to visiting certificate holders and a variety of external specialists in areas such as cardiology, behaviour, physiotherapy, and acupuncture.
Description of the Role
The role will include all aspects of general nursing, from pre- and post-operative care and anaesthetic monitoring to lab work and radiography. Nurses also carry out consults covering puppy and kitten checks, geriatric clinics, diabetes management, blood pressure checks, and weight clinics. The role also includes wound care, bandaging, and client education.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will be a qualified RVN registered with the RCVS, who is passionate about high-quality care and thrives in a team-focused environment. They should be enthusiastic, compassionate, and confident in both clinical and client-facing aspects of the role.
Practice Equipment List
The clinic is well-equipped with fully digital X-ray, dental X-ray, an in-house Idexx lab, separate dog and cat waiting areas and wards, designated consult rooms, an isolation unit, and a modern prep area and theatre. Visiting surgeons also carry out laparoscopy and more complex procedures.
