Job Description
Introduction
Our Client’s hospital is a modern and well-equipped 24-hour veterinary facility located in a desirable area of London, within easy reach of excellent transport links. The hospital offers a dynamic and supportive environment, delivering high standards of patient care across a wide range of cases, from routine procedures to more complex treatments.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a part-time role working 3 days per week (25.5 hours). Flexibility is available for more or fewer hours if desired. Weekend and OOH requirements are not specified.
Role Description
This is a varied Registered Veterinary Nurse role within a busy hospital environment. You will be responsible for delivering high standards of patient care, supporting surgical procedures, and carrying out nurse-led appointments using Schedule 3 skills.
Your duties will include patient monitoring, managing admissions and discharges, administering and dispensing medication, and maintaining accurate clinical records. You will also contribute to team coordination through briefings and ensure compliance with all regulatory and operational standards. This role offers excellent exposure to a diverse caseload and opportunities for professional development.
Team Size
You will be working within a large, experienced, and supportive hospital team, including veterinary surgeons, RVNs, and dedicated support staff, all committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
Practice Details
The hospital is a fully equipped 24-hour facility featuring advanced diagnostic and surgical equipment. Facilities include complex ultrasound, a laparoscopic stack system, endoscopy, a full in-house laboratory, separate dog and cat wards, an isolation area, and two operating theatres. The practice is designed to support a wide range of clinical services and provides an excellent environment for skill development within a collaborative team.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse with experience in delivering high standards of patient and client care. You will be a strong team player with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach. Experience supporting nurse consults and an understanding of their impact on practice efficiency is important, along with the ability to work effectively within a busy hospital setting.
