Job Description
Introduction
Our client hospital is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate ECC Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their inclusive and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a well-established, independent practice delivering 24/7 emergency care alongside specialist referral services in Ophthalmology, Surgery, Internal Medicine, and Anaesthesia. The team is united by a shared commitment to patient wellbeing and knowledge-driven treatment plans that mirror the standards they would expect for their own pets.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time role that includes a rotation through day, twilight, and night shift patterns across all seven days of the week. There is flexibility available, and part-time hours will also be considered. This structure provides variety in your working routine while supporting a healthy work-life balance.
Role Description
As an ECC RVN, you will play a critical role in caring for medical, surgical, and high-dependency patients, ensuring that each patient receives the highest standard of care. The role requires someone who is not only technically skilled but also deeply empathetic and attentive to patient needs. The position offers a full induction and training program, and you’ll work within a culture that promotes excellence and continuous development. You’ll be empowered to make a real difference to the lives of animals and their families while contributing to a strong and cohesive nursing team.
Team Size
You’ll be joining a vibrant and friendly team composed of highly experienced specialists and nurses. The practice fosters a collaborative environment where knowledge sharing and mutual support are central to day-to-day operations.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a qualified RVN with 2–3 years of experience and hold an ECC Certificate. Experience in emergency work is advantageous, and you should be highly organised, focused on hygiene and cleanliness, and able to remain calm under pressure. Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential. A demonstrable commitment to CPD and a genuine passion for delivering high standards of patient care will ensure success in this role.
