Job Description

Introduction
Our Client is a corporately owned, multi-branch practice seeking a passionate and motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their friendly, loyal, and collaborative team. This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse who enjoys a varied role, delivering high standards of patient care while contributing to a supportive and development-focused environment.

Rota
The practice welcomes both full-time and part-time applicants. Full-time hours are 08:00–19:00 over four days per week. Participation in the Saturday rota is preferred, but there is no requirement to work Sundays or bank holidays.

About the Practice
The practice operates across multiple branches with a strong focus on client care and clinical development. The team includes experienced veterinary surgeons, RVNs, SVNs, and reception staff, with several RVNs currently working towards certificates in medicine, anaesthesia, and surgical nursing. The practice encourages professional growth and fosters a positive, collaborative working environment.

The Role
The Registered Veterinary Nurse will deliver a varied and fulfilling role, including nurse consultations, theatre support, and the opportunity to perform Schedule 3 procedures if desired. The role also involves supporting student nurses in a clinical coach capacity, mentoring colleagues, and contributing to the ongoing development of the nursing team. Nurses will be involved in providing excellent patient care across a range of clinical areas and maintaining high standards of client communication.

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a qualified, and preferably experienced, RVN with a proactive, enthusiastic, and team-oriented attitude. They should demonstrate a conscientious approach to patient and client care, be confident or willing to train as a clinical coach, and be motivated to contribute to the development of the nursing team. This role is suited to someone looking for a long-term opportunity within a supportive and progressive practice.

Practice Equipment
The practice is well equipped to support high-quality care, including new blood analysers, digital and dental X-ray, and ultrasound. Plans are in place to install a CT scanner and achieve Cat Friendly Clinic status, alongside the growth of the exotics caseload, providing opportunities for nurses to develop specialist interests.
