Job Description

Introduction
Our Client is seeking a proactive and compassionate Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their well-established and friendly mixed practice in Greenock on a permanent, full-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive team environment, delivering high-quality first opinion care to a loyal and longstanding client base.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, based at the Greenock branch.

The rota includes 1 in 4 weekends (Saturday 8:00am–3:00pm and Sunday 9:00am–12:30pm). There are no on-call duties.

Role Description
You will work on a structured rota system covering a wide range of nursing duties including post-operative care for medical and surgical patients, assisting Veterinary Surgeons in theatre and prep areas, caring for isolation patients, laboratory work, and pharmacy ordering and stock control.

There is also opportunity to expand nurse consultations and develop nurse-led clinics within the practice. Professional growth is encouraged, and support is available for further qualifications.

Practice Details
The practice is RCVS accredited and benefits from two operating theatres equipped with multi-parameter monitors. Facilities include Karl Storz laparoscopy equipment for laparoscopic procedures, a fully equipped laboratory with haematology, biochemistry, electrolyte and therapeutic monitoring analysers, ultrasound scanner, digital radiography and a dedicated dental X-ray unit.

Team Size
You will join a supportive team of Veterinary Surgeons, Registered Veterinary Nurses, Animal Care Assistants and Receptionists working collaboratively across the Greenock and Paisley branches.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse who is organised, proactive and confident assisting in theatre and managing inpatient care.

You will demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills, alongside a genuine commitment to delivering high standards of patient and client care. A desire to develop nurse clinics and pursue further qualifications would be highly welcomed.
