Job Description

Introduction
Our Client is a corporately owned practice based in Bishopbriggs, offering an excellent opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a friendly, stable and supportive team. Nurses are encouraged to utilise their clinical skills fully, with a strong emphasis on professional development, work-life balance and providing high-quality patient care.

Working Hours / Rota
Both full-time and part-time working patterns can be considered, allowing flexibility around individual requirements. The weekend rota consists of one full Saturday in three, with no Sunday working and no out-of-hours duties.

Role Description
This varied first opinion nursing role provides the opportunity to fully utilise your clinical skills across a diverse caseload. The practice has particular strength in anaesthesia and is keen to continue developing this area, while regular orthopaedic cases provide further opportunities to broaden your experience. Nurses are actively supported with CPD and ongoing development, and the well-managed diary provides protected breaks and time to complete administrative responsibilities.

Team Size
The established team consists of three full-time Veterinary Surgeons, three full-time RVNs, one Student Veterinary Nurse, a Practice Manager and three receptionists. The Head Nurse is also a Clinical Coach, supporting student development and creating a strong learning environment across the nursing team.

Practice Details & Equipment
The practice has held RCVS Practice Standards Scheme accreditation for 14 years, is an RVN training practice and holds Silver Cat Friendly status. It is also working towards a Silver environmental accreditation. Facilities include a comprehensive in-house laboratory, ultrasound, digital radiography, dedicated dental radiography, tonometry, patient warming equipment, fluid pumps and syringe drivers. A visiting Orthopaedic Specialist further enhances the caseload and learning opportunities available.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse with good general nursing experience and a genuine passion for animal welfare. You will have excellent communication and customer service skills, enjoy working collaboratively within a close-knit team and be enthusiastic about developing your clinical abilities. An interest in anaesthesia would fit particularly well with the team’s existing clinical strengths.
