Veterinary Nurse (RVN)

Job Description

My client is a charity-owned Hospital that is looking for a Locum Registered Veterinary Nurse to provide locum cover for their team.

This position is working 26.5 hours per week for 8 weeks initially, with the potential to extend. The role will be working as part of a busy hospital team, so there is no sole charge responsibility.

The hospital is looking for an experienced RVN who can hit the ground running and is confident jumping in to support wherever needed within a fast-paced environment.

Duties will include:
• Theatre
• Inpatient care
• Nurse consults
• Vet consult support, including looking after isolation patients and assisting vets in consultations
• Assisting dispensary

The practice is happy to pay locums via Umbrella only.

Requirements
• RCVS registration
• Right to work in the UK
• Small-animal clinical experience, typically 2+ years unless stated otherwise
• Confidence with routine consultations and surgery
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
