Job Description

Introduction
Our Client’s practice is a busy, well-established small animal clinic located in Redhill, offering a high standard of clinical care with a compassionate approach. The practice is purpose-built with modern facilities and benefits from excellent transport links, including quick access to Gatwick Airport and central London, as well as surrounding natural countryside.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time role averaging 40 hours per week, worked across a 4-day rota to support a strong work–life balance. The position includes a 1-in-4 Saturday rota. There are no out-of-hours duties or overnight inpatient checks. Part-time hours may also be considered.

Role Description
The Registered Veterinary Nurse will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the practice, delivering high-quality patient and client care. Responsibilities include general nursing duties, supporting clinical procedures, and contributing to patient wellbeing. Nurses are encouraged to utilise their full skillset, including Schedule 3 procedures. There are also opportunities to develop further, including potential involvement in clinical coaching and contributing to the wider success of the practice.

Team Size
The team consists of 6 Vets, 4 RVNs, 2 SVNs, 2 VCAs, a dedicated reception team, and a Practice Manager, fostering a collaborative and supportive working environment.

The practice is purpose-built and fully equipped with modern veterinary facilities. It offers a high standard of care and supports continuous professional development. The clinic is well-connected geographically and designed to provide both excellent clinical outcomes and a positive working environment.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in general nursing and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional patient and client care. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential, along with a proactive attitude and willingness to contribute to team success. An interest in developing business understanding and supporting team motivation is desirable. Clinical coaching experience is advantageous but not essential.

Equipment
The practice is equipped with digital X-ray, Doppler, ECG, pulse oximetry, and ultrasound, supporting a wide range of diagnostic and monitoring capabilities.
