Job Description
Introduction
Our Client’s practice is opening a brand-new, purpose-built veterinary surgery and is seeking a passionate RVN to join the founding team and help shape how the clinic operates from day one.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position working 4 x 9-hour days, with an average 39-hour working week. The rota includes evenings and weekends, as well as nurse care nights with accommodation provided when required. Flexible working options are also considered.
Role Description
In this role, you will play a key part in delivering exceptional clinical care and an outstanding client experience. Daily duties include supporting vets in consultations, diagnostics, and surgery, running nurse clinics, promoting preventative healthcare, and delivering inpatient care including anaesthesia monitoring. You will also undertake laboratory work, radiography, and theatre duties, while supporting and mentoring student nurses where applicable. This is a hands-on, proactive role with strong opportunities to fully utilise and develop your nursing skills, including Schedule 3 procedures.

Practice Details
The practice is purpose-built, modern, spacious, and designed to create a calm and comfortable environment for both patients and clients. Facilities include 8 consult rooms, 3 operating theatres, separate dental and imaging suites, a spacious prep area, and dedicated wards. The practice is part of a large, independent, family-owned veterinary group with a strong focus on development and team wellbeing.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a qualified and registered Veterinary Nurse who is passionate about patient care and enjoys working as part of a collaborative team. They will communicate confidently and compassionately, be proactive and adaptable, and be motivated to fully utilise and develop their clinical skills in a supportive and progressive environment.
