Job Description
Introduction
Our Client’s practice is a friendly, forward-thinking, small animal veterinary practice based in Fareham, Hampshire. The team has a genuine passion for delivering outstanding care to every patient and exceptional service to every client. Purpose-built and equipped with modern technology, the practice is looking to welcome a Registered Veterinary Nurse who shares their enthusiasm, compassion, and commitment to high-quality veterinary care.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a permanent, full-time role working 40 hours per week. Part-time may also be considered. The rota includes 1 in 4 Saturdays on a fair and balanced rota. No out-of-hours duties are mentioned in the advert.
Role Description
The successful Registered Veterinary Nurse will be encouraged to use their nursing skills to the fullest across a varied caseload. Daily duties will include theatre work, radiography, dental procedures, inpatient care, nurse-led clinics, and general nursing duties.
There is a strong focus on clinical development, with support available for career growth and CPD. A Clinical Coach qualification, or willingness to train in this area, would be ideal, making this a great opportunity for an RVN who enjoys mentoring, developing others, and continuing to grow their own clinical skills.
Team Size
The team is made up of 6 Vets, 3 RVNs, 2 SVNs, and the wider support team, creating a supportive, friendly, and growing team with a positive, collaborative culture. The team is looking for an RVN who is approachable, down-to-earth, and confident working in a dynamic practice environment.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse who is passionate about veterinary nursing and delivering excellent patient care. They will be friendly, approachable, and committed to animal welfare, while also supporting clients with empathy and professionalism.
The practice would suit someone who enjoys being part of a team, thrives in a varied clinical environment, and is excited to continue developing their skills. A Clinical Coach qualification or willingness to train as a Clinical Coach would be highly desirable.
Equipment
The practice is equipped with Bair Hugger, blood pressure monitors, capnography, digital X-ray including dental, ECG, endoscope, GE Vivid iq ultrasound, Idexx in-house laboratory, infusion pumps, an Intensive Care Unit coming soon, K Laser, multi-parameter general anaesthetic monitor, syringe driver, and Tonopen.
