Job Description
Introduction
Our Client is an independently owned veterinary practice that forms part of a collaborative network of community-focused practices. Working Hours / Rota
This is a part-time position working 24 hours per week, with participation in a one-in-four Saturday rota from 8:30am to 2:00pm.
Role Description
This hands-on nursing role offers the opportunity to work across all aspects of first opinion practice, including consultations, theatre, inpatient care and client communication. Responsibilities include monitoring hospitalised patients, administering medications and fluid therapy, supporting anaesthesia and surgical procedures, carrying out nurse consultations, performing in-house laboratory tests and maintaining excellent infection control standards throughout the practice. You will also assist with stock management, equipment maintenance and occasional reception duties while providing compassionate support and advice to clients. Working closely with the wider clinical team, you will help deliver exceptional patient care in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Team Size
You will become part of a friendly and experienced team of veterinary surgeons, registered veterinary nurses and support staff who work closely together to provide outstanding patient care. The practice promotes a collaborative culture where colleagues support one another and are encouraged to continue developing their clinical skills.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse who is compassionate, organised and committed to delivering exceptional patient and client care. You will have excellent communication and teamwork skills, be proactive and adaptable in a busy clinical environment, and enjoy working collaboratively with both clinical and reception teams. A positive attitude and passion for providing outstanding veterinary nursing will be key to success in this role.
