Job Description

Introduction
Our Client is a corporately owned practice seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a friendly and supportive team. This role offers the opportunity to deliver high standards of patient care while contributing to nurse-led services within a modern clinical environment.

Working Hours / Rota
This position is 40 hours per week on a rota basis between 8:30am and 7:30pm with 1 in 6 weekends at a nearby 24-hour hospital.

Role Description
The Registered Veterinary Nurse will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care through nurse-led appointments and supporting veterinary surgeons during consultations, surgical procedures, and Schedule 3 activities. The role involves monitoring patients, assisting with procedures, and ensuring high standards of clinical and operational compliance are consistently maintained.

Nurses will also manage patient admissions and discharges, provide clear communication and support to clients, and ensure patients receive attentive and compassionate care throughout their treatment. Collaboration with the wider veterinary and nursing team will be essential to maintain efficient clinical workflows and ensure excellent patient outcomes.

Team Size
The team includes 3 veterinary surgeons, 2 registered veterinary nurses, and 3 additional support staff members.

Practice Details
The practice operates from a modern standalone facility that has recently undergone a full refurbishment. Clinical facilities include a sterile operating theatre, a dedicated dental suite with dental imaging, a standard imaging room, separate kennels and cattery areas, and a dedicated nurse consulting room.

The practice benefits from access to a nearby 24-hour hospital for additional support and advanced care services. The environment encourages collaboration and continuous professional development through internal CPD opportunities and wider clinical communities.

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient and client care. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills, a collaborative approach to teamwork, and the ability to work confidently within a busy clinical environment.

A proactive attitude and commitment to maintaining high clinical standards will ensure success in this role.
