Job Description
Introduction
Our Client’s practice in Chester is seeking an experienced, professional and passionate Registered Veterinary Nurse to join its friendly and highly experienced team on either a full-time or part-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join the practice during a period of growth and innovation, with the introduction of new AI technology and a strong focus on team wellbeing, flexibility and professional development.
Working Hours / Rota
The role can be offered on either a full-time or part-time basis, with flexibility around weekly hours. There are no out of hours duties. The current rota includes 1 in 2 Saturday mornings, with plans to move to a 1 in 3 Saturday morning rota in 2026. Protected lunch breaks are provided and diaries are carefully managed to ensure time is allocated appropriately throughout the day.
Role Description
The role is designed around both the successful candidate and the needs of the practice, offering flexibility and variety. Responsibilities include nurse consultations, inpatient care, operating shifts, monitoring anaesthetics and assisting with surgeries. There is also scope to tailor aspects of the position towards specific clinical interests. The practice prides itself on maintaining high standards of first opinion care while building strong client relationships and delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
Team Size
The team consists of 7 vets, 5 RVNs, 2 SVNs and 3 receptionists, all supported by the Practice Manager. The clinical team has a broad range of interests and expertise, creating an excellent learning and development environment.

The practice is located on the outskirts of Chester and benefits from a varied caseload, including a high proportion of insured pets and proactive clients.
