Job Description
Introduction
Our Client’s practice is a well-established small animal veterinary clinic located in Chelmsford, offering high-quality care to cats, dogs, and small mammals. The practice benefits from modern facilities and is part of a wider network, providing a supportive and progressive environment focused on clinical excellence and professional development.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position. The role includes a 1 in 6 full weekend rota at a nearby 24-hour hospital, two weeks of on-call cover per year, and 1–2 bank holidays annually.
Role Description
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a friendly and collaborative team within a busy and well-equipped practice.
You will be responsible for delivering high standards of nursing care through nurse-led consultations and Schedule 3 procedures, while supporting Veterinary Surgeons with surgeries and clinical work. The role also includes patient monitoring, managing admissions and discharges, and ensuring compliance with clinical and operational standards.
You will play an important role in maintaining excellent client communication and contributing to a positive patient experience, while working closely with colleagues in a supportive team environment.
Team Size
You will be working alongside an experienced team including Veterinary Surgeons, Registered Veterinary Nurses, and dedicated support staff.
Practice Details
The practice is equipped with modern facilities including an in-house laboratory, diagnostic imaging, ultrasound, and surgical equipment. It provides a full range of services from routine care to advanced diagnostics and procedures, supported by a wider veterinary network.
