Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week across a 4-day working week. The role includes 1 in 6 weekends (Saturday and Sunday), with time off in lieu provided for weekend work. The hospital operates on a 24-hour basis, offering exposure to a true round-the-clock clinical environment.
Role Description
This Registered Veterinary Nurse position offers exposure to a diverse caseload of both medical and surgical cases within a busy hospital setting. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care, supporting consultations, assisting in theatre, and providing exceptional inpatient nursing.
The hospital carries out weekly orthopaedic procedures, offering excellent exposure to surgical nursing. With a dedicated ICU ward, you will have the opportunity to further develop your intensive care and advanced nursing skills. This role is ideal for a nurse looking to fully utilise their skillset, grow clinically, and contribute meaningfully within a practice focused on accessible veterinary care and strong clinical standards.

Practice Details
The Bolton hospital is a well-equipped 24-hour site featuring 8 consulting rooms, 3 operating theatres, a dedicated X-ray and dental suite, and a CT scanner. The hospital includes separate dog and cat wards to ensure patient comfort, along with a specialised ICU ward for intensive nursing care. The caseload is varied, covering both medical and surgical cases, with weekly orthopaedic procedures performed on-site.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a qualified and RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse who is confident supporting both medical and surgical cases. You will have an interest in inpatient and ICU nursing and thrive in a busy hospital environment.
