Job Description

Introduction
Our Client is a corporately owned Hospital looking to welcome a permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse to their dedicated team.

Rota Details
This is a full-time position averaging 40 hours per week, typically worked over four days. The rota includes a 1 in 9 weekend and bank holiday commitment, with time off in lieu provided for any bank holidays worked.

Information About the Practice
This well-established hospital is supported by two branch practices and serves as the only veterinary hospital within a 10-mile radius. The team consists of 22 nurses, 15 vets, and a strong group of support staff, all working together to deliver 24/7 patient care. The practice is known for its strong emphasis on staff wellbeing and work-life balance.

Description of the Role
The role offers variety and responsibility, with duties spanning inpatient care, theatre and anaesthesia, nurse consults, and lab work. The successful candidate will rotate through all nursing roles and will be an integral part of the clinical team. Some experience in emergency care is desirable, given the hospital’s busy and varied caseload.

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal applicant will be a confident and compassionate RVN with a proactive attitude and enthusiasm for working in a hospital environment. A strong interest in emergency care would be advantageous.

Practice Equipment List
The hospital is equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, dental suite with dental radiographs, a wide range of endoscopes, and an on-site hydrotherapy treadmill. The varied caseload is enhanced by vets with interests in orthopaedics, ophthalmology, and cardiology.
