Introduction
Our Client’s practice is a modern, well-equipped small animal clinic located in Birkenhead, operating within a unique not-for-profit model focused on delivering affordable and accessible veterinary care. The practice offers a supportive and inclusive environment, encouraging collaboration and professional growth while maintaining high clinical standards.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position working 40 hours over a 4-day week. The rota includes 1 in 6 Saturdays with time off in lieu. There are no out-of-hours requirements mentioned.
Role Description
This Registered Veterinary Nurse role offers a varied and engaging caseload, allowing you to fully utilise your nursing skills across a wide range of medical and surgical cases. You will be involved in all aspects of nursing, supporting procedures, inpatient care, and contributing to high standards of patient welfare.
The clinic handles complex orthopaedic and medical cases, providing excellent exposure and opportunities for clinical development. There is strong support for further training, including certificate-level CPD, enabling you to progress your career within a progressive environment.
This role is ideal for a nurse seeking to expand their clinical skills while making a meaningful impact in a purpose-driven organisation.
Team Size
You will be part of a collaborative and supportive clinical team, working alongside veterinary surgeons and nursing colleagues within a positive and inclusive environment.
Practice Details
The practice is a well-equipped facility featuring 7 consultation rooms, 2 operating theatres, and a dedicated X-ray suite. It is a cat-friendly clinic with separate dog and cat wards, supporting low-stress patient care.
The clinic manages a diverse caseload, including complex orthopaedic and medical cases, and continues to develop advanced services such as cardiac scanning. As part of a not-for-profit organisation, the practice is committed to reinvesting in patient care, staff development, and facilities.
Ideal Candidate
