With a strong reputation in the local community, the practice offers a friendly and collaborative environment where high standards of patient and client care are at the forefront of everything they do.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week over 4 days, including a mix of early and late shifts to support work-life balance. The rota includes weekends at a nearby 24-hour hospital, as well as a fair share of out-of-hours and bank holiday duties. Flexible working arrangements may be considered.
Role Description
This is a varied Registered Veterinary Nurse role within a busy first opinion practice. You will be responsible for delivering high standards of patient care, supporting veterinary surgeons during consultations and surgical procedures, and carrying out nurse-led clinics using Schedule 3 skills.
Daily duties include patient monitoring, managing admissions and discharges, and ensuring compliance with all clinical and operational standards. You will work closely with the wider team to provide a seamless and supportive service, with opportunities to fully utilise and develop your clinical skills.
Team Size
You will be joining a well-established and collaborative team consisting of 5 vets, 3 RVNs, a student nurse, a patient care assistant, and 5 receptionists, all working together in a supportive and friendly environment.
Practice Details
The practice is a large first opinion site equipped with modern facilities including separate dog and cat theatres to support low-stress handling, digital and dental radiography, and an in-house laboratory. Additional features include a range of nurse clinics, on-site boarding kennels, and a dog grooming service. The clinic is designed to support high-quality clinical care while providing a welcoming and well-equipped working environment.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse with a passion for delivering exceptional patient and client care. You will be a strong team player with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to your work. A willingness to contribute to a collaborative team environment and to continue developing your clinical skills will be key to success in this role.
