Introduction
Our Client is an independently owned, not-for-profit veterinary practice committed to providing accessible, affordable, high-quality veterinary care. As the UK’s only veterinary Community Interest Company (CIC), the practice is dedicated to removing financial barriers to treatment through free daytime consultations and transparent pricing. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a busy, supportive team with a varied medical and surgical caseload.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week across a four-day week. The role includes a shared rota of 2 in 9 Saturdays with time off in lieu, along with a share of bank holiday duties.
Role Description
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to fully utilise their clinical nursing skills within a busy first opinion practice. You will work with a diverse range of medical and surgical cases, supporting patient care from admission through to discharge while contributing to a collaborative, nurse-led environment. The varied caseload provides excellent opportunities to further develop your clinical knowledge while working alongside an experienced and supportive veterinary team.
Team Size
You will become part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team of veterinary surgeons, registered veterinary nurses and support staff who work together in a supportive, inclusive environment with a shared commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
Practice Details & Equipment
The practice features five consulting rooms, two fully equipped operating theatres and a dedicated dental suite. Separate dog and cat wards provide comfortable inpatient facilities, while the varied caseload includes both medical and surgical cases. An on-site Orthopaedic Surgeon further enhances the clinical expertise available within the practice.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse with a passion for delivering high-quality patient care and making full use of their nursing skills. You will enjoy working within a collaborative team, thrive in a busy clinical environment and be keen to continue developing your knowledge through a varied caseload and ongoing CPD opportunities.
