Our Client’s practice is preparing to launch a brand-new, purpose-built veterinary clinic in Mill Hill, offering a modern and innovative environment designed to redefine exceptional veterinary care. With a strong focus on clinical excellence, teamwork, and a people-and-animal-first culture, this is a unique opportunity to shape a clinic from its inception.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position, with approximately 80% of time spent on clinical duties. Flexibility is required to meet the demands of the clinic, alongside leadership and management responsibilities integrated into the rota.

Role Description
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to step into a Clinical Director role, leading the clinic’s overall performance across clinical, financial, and people-focused areas.

You will be responsible for delivering exceptional clinical care while leading and developing a multidisciplinary team. Your role will include performing consultations and surgeries, overseeing clinical governance, implementing evidence-based medicine, and driving continuous clinical improvement through audits and CPD initiatives.

From a business perspective, you will take ownership of membership growth, client acquisition, and local clinic strategy. You will oversee key operational areas including HR, recruitment, health & safety, marketing, and client care, while managing budgets and influencing financial performance through KPIs and P&L understanding.

As a leader, you will act as the figurehead of the clinic, mentoring and supporting the veterinary team, Nursing Director, and Practice Manager. You will foster a positive and inclusive culture, ensuring effective communication, regular performance reviews, and ongoing team development.

You will also play a key role in promoting the clinic within the local community and wider veterinary industry, contributing to its growth and long-term success.

Team Size
You will lead a multidisciplinary team including Veterinary Surgeons, a Nursing Director, and a Practice Manager, supported by a wider team of skilled veterinary professionals.
