Job Description

Introduction
Our Client is an independently owned practice preparing to open a brand-new purpose-built clinic in Beaconsfield. They are seeking an experienced Clinical Director to lead the practice from its launch, providing a unique opportunity to build, inspire and develop a high-performing team while shaping the future of the clinic. Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time leadership position. The Clinical Director will spend approximately 80% of their time delivering clinical care while balancing leadership, operational and strategic responsibilities to support the successful growth and performance of the practice.

Role Description
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon and leader to establish and develop a brand-new clinic from its inception. The Clinical Director will be responsible for the overall clinical, financial and operational performance of the practice while maintaining high standards of patient care and client experience.

The successful candidate will lead the veterinary team, Practice Manager and Head Nurse, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning and clinical excellence. Responsibilities include overseeing clinical governance, mentoring colleagues, supporting CPD, organising clinical audits and driving evidence-based medicine throughout the practice.

Beyond clinical leadership, the role includes responsibility for business performance, including membership growth, client acquisition, budgeting, financial performance, recruitment, health and safety, marketing initiatives and ensuring an exceptional client journey.

Team Size
The successful candidate will lead and support the veterinary team while directly managing the Head Nurse and Practice Manager. Working closely with the wider leadership team, they will build a collaborative, inclusive culture where every team member is encouraged to develop their skills and contribute to the success of the clinic.

The practice is a brand-new, purpose-built veterinary clinic located in Beaconsfield, designed to provide an exceptional environment for both patients and veterinary professionals. Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with proven leadership experience and the confidence to build and develop a successful veterinary practice.
