This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing centre of excellence. The hospital is focused on collaboration, clinical excellence, and compassion, offering the chance to play a key role in developing the internal medicine service from the outset.

Working Hours / Rota
Part-time or full-time applications are welcomed, and the practice is happy to offer flexible working hours to suit the right candidate. This role is designed to support a strong work-life balance.

Role Description
This role is for a Medic to help establish and grow the internal medicine offering within a forward-thinking referral environment. The successful candidate will work closely with a Diplomate Soft Tissue Surgeon and other referral clinicians, managing a varied internal medicine caseload while contributing to the future direction of the service. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to combine high-level clinical work with the chance to influence service development in a modern referral setting.

Team Size
You will be joining a highly experienced and growing multidisciplinary referral team, including diplomates, certificate holders, and advanced practitioners across multiple disciplines. The team is supported by skilled registered veterinary nurses, patient care assistants, and dedicated support staff, all working collaboratively to deliver exceptional referral-level care. The environment is designed to encourage knowledge-sharing, clinical discussion, and continued professional development.

Practice Details
This is an independent, purpose-built referral hospital designed to provide advanced veterinary care across the North of England. The hospital offers a state-of-the-art clinical environment with advanced diagnostic and treatment capabilities, supporting a high standard of referral medicine. Its location near the A1 makes it highly accessible for both clients and referring practices across the region.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an ECVS Diplomate, Advanced Practitioner, or certificate holder in Small Animal Internal Medicine. They will be passionate about advancing internal medicine, enthusiastic about helping shape a growing service, and keen to work collaboratively within a specialist-led referral hospital. A forward-thinking mindset, strong clinical ability, and a team-oriented approach will all be important for success in this role.
