Job Description
This independently owned, feline only hospital are looking for a new Veterinary Surgeon to join their night team.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years post-qualification with experience in ECC and a keen interest in in feline medicine.
The position is medicine and in-patient management heavy but as the position is sole charge so your surgery skills should allow you to comfortably perform non-routine emergency procedures, such as C-sections, exploratory GI surgery, etc.
You would be expected to be comfortable with AFAST/TFAST/VPOCUS and if you knew your way around a cat’s abdomen, this would be great, but this part isn’t essential, and training can be provided.
You will be working 7 days on 14 days off, each day shift is 13 hrs and each weekend/bank holiday shift is 14hrs.
This practice is fully equipped with flexible and rigid endoscopes/otoscopes, Mini-laparoscopy kit, Digital X-ray/Dental x-ray, Ultrasound with multi-frequency curvilinear, linear and phased array probes for abdominal and thoracic/cardiac imaging, Syringe drivers/pumps, Oxygen tents/Bair huggers and In-house Idexx Vet Station including coags.
