Introduction
Our Client is an independently owned hospital and operates as a not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC). They are preparing to launch a brand-new veterinary hospital in Cwmbran, serving the communities of Torfaen and the surrounding areas, with plans to open in early 2027. Operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the hospital will provide accessible, affordable, high-quality veterinary care alongside continuous patient care and emergency services. Their commitment to affordable veterinary medicine, including free daytime consultations, affordable out-of-hours consultations and transparent pricing, enables the team to manage a varied and rewarding caseload while delivering exceptional patient care.

Working Hours / Rota
The practice is open to both full-time and part-time applicants, offering flexible rota options to suit individual candidates. The advertised salary is based on a 40-hour working week. Night shifts run from 6:30pm to 7:30am. Please note that accommodation is not available with this role.

Role Description
This is an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon with a passion for Emergency and Critical Care to join the night team at a brand-new veterinary hospital from its launch. The successful candidate will manage a varied emergency caseload while providing high-quality overnight care for patients requiring emergency treatment and hospitalisation.

Working closely with the daytime clinical team, the role offers excellent continuity of care while providing opportunities to further develop technical skills within a busy and supportive hospital environment. As part of the hospital’s founding team, the successful candidate will play an important role in helping establish a culture of clinical excellence while contributing to the success and growth of the new hospital.

Team Size
The successful candidate will work as part of a highly skilled and collaborative multidisciplinary team, working closely with colleagues across both the day and night services to provide outstanding emergency and inpatient care.

Joining the hospital from the outset offers the opportunity to help shape its future while working within a collaborative and progressive clinical environment.
