Located on the edge of the Cotswolds, Woodstock offers a picturesque setting with excellent access to Oxford city centre.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a permanent part-time night position working 7 nights on followed by 14 nights off, averaging 28 hours per week.

You will be fully supported on shift by either a Registered Veterinary Nurse or Veterinary Care Assistant. The night team operates on a 1 week on / 3 weeks off rota, with four established night Veterinary Surgeons currently in post.

Role Description
In this role, you will deliver exceptional patient care during the out-of-hours period, focusing on emergency and critical care cases. Responsibilities include patient monitoring, managing inpatients, delivering gold-standard care, and communicating effectively with clients during emergency situations.

You will work collaboratively within a supportive and experienced team environment, where open communication and shared clinical input are valued.

Team and Practice Environment
The hospital is led by two long-standing Branch Partners committed to maintaining high clinical standards and supporting team development. The wider team includes experienced night Veterinary Surgeons and long-standing support staff, creating a stable and welcoming workplace culture.

The facility is modern and recently refurbished, featuring advanced diagnostic equipment and acting as the regional referral hub.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a qualified MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon with a passion for emergency and critical care. You will demonstrate strong clinical decision-making skills, confidence in managing complex cases overnight, and excellent communication abilities.
