Our Client is an independently owned, not-for-profit veterinary hospital preparing to launch a brand-new 24-hour facility in Cwmbran, serving Torfaen and the surrounding areas. Opening in early 2027, the hospital will provide accessible, affordable, high-quality veterinary care with a strong focus on continuous patient care and emergency services. Its transparent pricing model and affordable out-of-hours service create a varied emergency and inpatient caseload, offering excellent opportunities for professional development.

Working Hours / Rota
Both full-time and part-time applications are welcomed. Night shifts are 6:30pm to 7:30am, with full-time hours based on a 40-hour working week.

Role Description
As a Night Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering outstanding overnight patient care. You will be responsible for caring for hospitalised patients, assisting in theatre when required, triaging emergency cases and supporting emergency procedures throughout the night. Working closely with the daytime first opinion and referral teams, you will ensure seamless continuity of care while managing a varied and rewarding emergency caseload in a supportive hospital environment.

Team Size
You will become part of a growing multidisciplinary team of veterinary surgeons, registered veterinary nurses and support staff, working collaboratively to provide exceptional patient care across both daytime and overnight services.

Practice Details
The hospital is a brand-new, purpose-built 24-hour veterinary facility scheduled to open in early 2027. It will provide first opinion, emergency, referral and inpatient care while maintaining a strong commitment to affordable veterinary services. Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse with a passion for emergency and inpatient care. You will be confident managing overnight patients, assisting with emergency procedures and working effectively in a busy hospital environment. Strong communication skills, excellent clinical standards and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential.
