Working Hours / Rota
This role follows a rolling rota of 4 nights on, 7 nights off, 4 nights on, 6 nights off, plus one twilight shift, averaging 36 hours per week on an annualised hours contract.

Role Description

Working across emergency and first opinion services, you will care for hospitalised patients, assist with emergency cases and support the veterinary team throughout the night. The role offers excellent opportunities to develop specialist interests, whether through clinical coaching, certificate study or leadership development, while working in a collaborative and supportive team.

Team Size
You will join an experienced multidisciplinary team of veterinary surgeons, registered veterinary nurses and support staff, working closely across both first opinion and referral services to provide seamless 24-hour patient care.

Practice Details
The role is based within a modern veterinary hospital that works alongside a specialist referral service, providing comprehensive first opinion, emergency and referral care. The purpose-built facilities have been designed to create a welcoming environment for both clients and staff, supporting a high standard of patient care and clinical excellence.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an experienced RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse with at least two to three years of post-qualification experience. Previous emergency and critical care experience or an ECC qualification would be advantageous. You will be a strong team player with excellent communication skills, a compassionate approach to patient care and a commitment to the practice’s values of respect, empathy, honesty and teamwork.
