Job Description
We’re seeking Locum Veterinary Surgeons to support our clients across Edinburgh and the surrounding areas. We have a consistent flow of work ranging from stand-alone days to long-term blocks, giving you full control over your schedule and workload.
Rates typically range from £350–£550 per day, depending on experience, shift type, and booking length. Weekly pay, smooth admin, and clear booking details before you accept any assignment.
You can choose from consulting-only days, surgical shifts, general practice blocks, and multi-site or single-site work. Optional weekend and OOH cover is available for those who want it, but not essential.
Typical duties include consultations and diagnostics, routine soft-tissue surgery, dental procedures, imaging interpretation, clinical record-keeping, and client communication. You’ll always have clarity on responsibilities before you commit to shifts.
We handle ad-hoc, short-term, and long-term locum bookings across both independent clinics and wider veterinary groups.
Payment options are flexible — Limited Company, Umbrella, Sole Trader, and PAYE (subject to compliance checks).
Why work with us? We prioritise fast communication, accurate information, and straightforward booking processes. You’ll get honest guidance, reliable support, and shift options that match your skill set and availability.
Requirements:
RCVS registration, right-to-work status, recent small-animal practice experience.
