Job Description
Introduction
Our Client’s practice is a modern, purpose-built veterinary surgery located in Portsmouth, offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon ready to progress into a Head Vet position. The practice is part of one of the UK’s largest independent family-owned veterinary groups and is committed to delivering exceptional clinical care alongside creating a positive and supportive working environment.
The team is passionate about providing outstanding patient care and continuously developing clinical standards and services. Many team members are currently working towards certificates, creating a strong culture of learning, collaboration and professional progression.
Working Hours / Rota
The role is based on a 4-day working week with a shared weekend rota of 1 in 4 weekends.
Role Description
The successful candidate will play a key leadership role within the surgery management team, helping drive the continued improvement of clinical standards and patient care. The role involves coaching and mentoring colleagues, supporting clinical development and helping shape the strategic direction of the practice.
This position would suit a Veterinary Surgeon with strong clinical expertise who is passionate about evidence-based medicine, team development and delivering gold-standard patient and client care within a collaborative environment.
Team Size
The practice has a skilled and passionate veterinary team with a broad range of clinical interests and specialities. Many team members are actively working towards certificates to further enhance their clinical skills and the services offered within the practice.
