Job Description
Introduction
Our Client is a corporately owned practice seeking a Lead Veterinary Surgeon to guide and develop their newly renovated, boutique-style clinic. This is an exciting opportunity for a clinician ready to shape standards, influence practice performance, and take on a key leadership role within a well-supported network.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position. The rota provides a consistent schedule that supports clinical leadership responsibilities alongside first-opinion caseload management.

Role Description
The Lead Veterinary Surgeon will take responsibility for clinical standards, workflow, and client experience within the practice. Daily duties include delivering high-quality consultations and procedures, preparing accurate treatment plans, and ensuring compliance with professional and operational standards. The role also involves mentoring colleagues, supporting nurse consultations and Schedule 3 procedures, maintaining excellent communication with clients, and promoting a positive, progressive clinical culture.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon with proven experience in providing exceptional patient and client care. They will demonstrate strong clinical leadership skills, confidence in influencing practice standards, and a collaborative approach to supporting the wider team. Experience in coaching, developing colleagues, and contributing to efficient clinic performance is highly regarded.
