Job Description

Our Client is a corporately owned practice seeking a Lead Veterinary Surgeon to take the next step in their career and join a well-equipped, multi-vet practice with a loyal client base and a supportive team culture.

This is a full-time position working 4 days per week with no OOHs and no current weekend rota, although part-time applications will also be considered. Flexibility is available for the right candidate.

The practice is home to a friendly and close-knit team, serving a loyal client base and handling a varied caseload. As a two-vet site, it offers the autonomy to shape the clinical and team culture, while being backed by a wider clinical network for advice and support when needed.

As Lead Vet, you’ll be responsible for overseeing clinical standards and mentoring the team, working closely with the Practice Manager to drive performance and standards. You’ll lead by example in delivering high-quality patient and client care, support nurse consults, prepare treatment plans and estimates, and manage case continuity. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to step into a leadership position or grow within an already established role.

The ideal candidate will be an RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon, confident in clinical decision-making and team leadership. A focus on exceptional care, strong communication skills, and a collaborative mindset are essential.

The practice is fully equipped, with digital x-rays, ultrasound, in-house lab, multiparameter monitoring, dental facilities, and more.
