Job Description
Introduction
Our Client is a corporately owned veterinary practice seeking a Head Registered Veterinary Nurse to lead a dedicated nursing team within a modern first opinion practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced RVN who is passionate about clinical excellence, leadership and developing colleagues while maintaining the highest standards of patient and client care.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time Head Registered Veterinary Nurse position. Working hours and rota can be discussed during the recruitment process.
Role Description
As Head Nurse, you will provide clinical leadership while remaining actively involved in the day-to-day delivery of outstanding nursing care. Your responsibilities will include leading nurse consultations and Schedule 3 procedures, supporting veterinary surgeons during consultations and surgeries, overseeing inpatient care, monitoring patients throughout their treatment and managing admissions and discharges. You will play a key role in maintaining regulatory, clinical and operational standards while mentoring, inspiring and developing the nursing team to achieve the highest levels of patient care and client service.
Team Size
You will lead a supportive team of veterinary surgeons, registered veterinary nurses and support staff, fostering a collaborative working environment where teamwork, continuous learning and professional development are encouraged.
