Job Description
Introduction
Our Client’s practice is a modern and well-equipped small animal clinic located in Telford, offering a supportive and progressive environment with a strong focus on affordable, high-quality veterinary care. As part of a wider group, the practice is committed to delivering accessible services while maintaining excellent clinical standards and team development.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week over 4 days. The role is Monday to Friday with no weekend or out-of-hours requirements, offering an excellent work-life balance.
Role Description
This is a leadership role suited to an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse looking to combine clinical work with team management responsibilities. You will play a key role in the clinical and financial performance of the clinic, supporting both vets and nurses to deliver exceptional standards of care.
Your responsibilities will include carrying out all aspects of nursing, mentoring and developing team members, conducting 1-2-1 meetings, and supporting staff progression as a clinical coach or working towards this qualification. You will also be involved in rota management, stock control, and ensuring compliance with health and safety and RCVS Practice Standards.
In addition, you will contribute to growing the clinic’s caseload and maintaining high clinical and operational standards, making this a varied and rewarding role with strong leadership and development opportunities.
Team Size
You will lead and support a small team consisting of 2 RVNs and 2 Student Veterinary Nurses, fostering a collaborative and positive working environment.
Practice Details
The practice is a modern, well-equipped facility featuring one operating theatre, four consultation rooms, a dedicated diagnostic room, and a dental suite. The layout is designed to support efficient workflows while maintaining a high standard of patient care in a supportive clinical setting.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse with strong leadership skills and a passion for both clinical excellence and team development. You will be confident in mentoring others, managing clinical operations, and contributing to business growth.
A proactive approach, strong communication skills, and a commitment to delivering accessible, high-quality veterinary care are essential. Experience in leadership, coaching, or rota management is highly desirable.
