Job Description

Introduction
Our Client’s practice is a modern, well-equipped small animal clinic located in Telford, operating within a unique not-for-profit model focused on delivering affordable, high-quality veterinary care. The clinic offers a supportive and progressive environment, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, development, and making veterinary care accessible to all.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week across a 4-day week. The rota runs Monday to Friday with no weekends or out-of-hours requirements, providing an excellent work-life balance.

Role Description
This Lead Registered Veterinary Nurse role combines clinical responsibilities with leadership and operational duties. You will carry out all aspects of nursing while also playing a key role in leading and developing the nursing team.

Responsibilities include mentoring and supporting colleagues, conducting 1-2-1 meetings, overseeing rota management, and ensuring compliance with clinical and regulatory standards. You will also manage stock control, contribute to clinic performance, and help grow the caseload, supporting the delivery of accessible veterinary care.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced RVN looking to step into or further develop within a leadership role, with support for becoming or continuing as a clinical coach.

Team Size
You will line manage a team consisting of 2 RVNs and 2 SVNs, working within a supportive wider clinical environment alongside veterinary surgeons and support staff.

Practice Details
The clinic is a modern, purpose-designed facility featuring one theatre, four consultation rooms, a dedicated diagnostic room, and a dental suite. The layout supports efficient workflows and high standards of patient care.

Operating as part of a not-for-profit organisation, the practice is committed to providing affordable veterinary services while reinvesting into clinical care, staff development, and facilities.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an experienced RVN with strong clinical skills and a passion for leadership. You will be confident mentoring and developing team members, with experience or interest in clinical coaching.

Strong organisational skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage clinical standards and compliance are essential. A proactive and team-focused approach, along with a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care, will be key to success in this role.
