This is a full-time role working a 4-day week. The rota includes 1 in 6 weekends at a nearby 24-hour hospital. There are no direct out-of-hours requirements, as dedicated OOH support is provided.
Role Description
This is a Head Registered Veterinary Nurse position, offering a blend of clinical and leadership responsibilities. You will lead nurse-led appointments and Schedule 3 procedures, support consultations and surgeries, and ensure high standards of patient care throughout the practice.
In addition, you will provide clinical leadership to the nursing team, helping to inspire, develop, and mentor colleagues while ensuring compliance with all regulatory and operational standards. You will also be responsible for patient monitoring, admissions and discharges, and maintaining excellent client communication.
Team Size
You will be working within a friendly and professional team environment, alongside veterinary surgeons, nurses, and support staff, all contributing to a collaborative and supportive culture.
Practice Details
The practice is well-equipped with two consultation rooms, dedicated space for nurse-led clinics, and on-site radiography facilities. It also benefits from access to advanced diagnostic equipment including MRI, CT, ultrasound, endoscopy, and ECG through the wider group network. The clinic is supported by a nearby 24-hour hospital for out-of-hours and complex case management, ensuring comprehensive patient care.
Ideal Candidate
