Introduction
Our Client is a corporately owned veterinary practice in Stoke Newington, North London seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to take on a Head Veterinary Nurse position. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive RVN who enjoys combining hands-on clinical nursing with leadership and team development.

Working Hours / Rota
This position is ideally full-time, although part-time arrangements can be considered for the right candidate. Specific working hours, weekend requirements and out-of-hours duties have not been provided and can be discussed during the recruitment process.

Role Description
The successful candidate will combine clinical nursing with leadership responsibilities, delivering nurse-led appointments and Schedule 3 activities while supporting consultations, surgery and other procedures. They will also oversee patient monitoring and care, admissions and discharges, and maintain high clinical and operational standards.

As Head Veterinary Nurse, they will provide leadership, mentoring and development to the nursing team, including supporting nurses and students. They will work closely with the practice leadership team to encourage continuous improvement and maintain a positive, collaborative working environment.

Team Size
The successful candidate will lead a close-knit nursing team within a busy community-focused practice, working alongside the wider clinical and practice leadership teams. Specific team numbers have not been provided.

Practice Details
The practice is based in Stoke Newington, North London and manages a busy community-based caseload. The team has access to additional clinical resources, development opportunities and support through a wider network of practices, 24-hour centres and referral hospitals.

The ideal candidate will be an RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse with strong clinical skills and a passion for delivering excellent patient and client care. They should be a confident leader who enjoys mentoring colleagues, developing a nursing team and maintaining high clinical standards.
