Introduction
Our Client is a corporately owned Hospital seeking a Head Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a busy 24-hour facility. This role offers the opportunity to combine clinical nursing with leadership responsibilities in a supportive and well-equipped environment.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week with 1 in 6 weekends.
Role Description
The Head Registered Veterinary Nurse will play a key role in delivering high standards of patient care while providing leadership to the nursing team. Responsibilities include overseeing nurse-led appointments, supporting consultations and surgical procedures, and ensuring compliance with clinical and operational standards.
The role involves monitoring patients, managing admissions and discharges, and maintaining clear communication with clients throughout the patient journey. In addition to clinical duties, the successful candidate will support the development of the nursing team through mentoring, coaching, and leading by example.
Working within a 24-hour hospital environment, the position offers exposure to a varied caseload including both routine and emergency cases, providing opportunities to further develop clinical and leadership skills.
Team Size
The Head Registered Veterinary Nurse will work alongside a team of veterinary surgeons, registered veterinary nurses, and support staff within a collaborative hospital setting.
