Job Description
Introduction
Our client practice is a friendly, well-equipped veterinary clinic located in a charming, community-driven town surrounded by beautiful countryside. The practice prides itself on delivering exceptional care to patients and clients alike, providing an environment where veterinary professionals can thrive and develop.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, including 1 in 4 Saturdays.
Role Description
The Head Veterinary Nurse will provide clinical leadership to the nursing team while delivering exceptional care to patients and clients. Responsibilities include supporting surgeries and procedures, managing nurse-led appointments and Schedule 3 surgeries, monitoring and caring for patients, managing admissions and discharges, and dispensing and checking medication. The role also involves inspiring and developing the nursing team, sharing best practice across the wider veterinary community, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory, practice, and operational standards.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse with experience in clinical leadership and delivering exceptional patient and client care. They will be confident in supporting and managing a nursing team, experienced in implementing progressive clinical practices, and skilled in coaching and influencing colleagues to achieve the best outcomes.
